DoFinance review – A good investment opportunity

DoFinance

peer to peer lending

I plan to invest at DoFinance in the near future to diversify my peer to peer lending investments in general. Below is my review of the platform.

DoFinance P2P Lending

  1. The platform went online in 2017.
  2. The company is located in Latvia and Indonesia.
  3. They have their own loan originators from Latvia, Poland, Georgia, and Indonesia on the platform.
  4. +2800 investors have joined the marketplace.
  5. All loans are pre-funded and with 100% buyback guarantee
  6. Up to +12% is the annual return to investors

DoFinance is owned by Alfa Finance Group
with the following company structure:

DoFinance Company Structure

The platform is started by two Latvian brothers Viesturs and Jānis Kuļikovskis. They started in 2015 where they founded the Alfa Finance Group to provide short-term consumer loans.

Meanwhile, they spent 2 years developing the platform to launch in 2017.

Since then, they have financed loans for more than 22 million Euro to more than 190,000 different borrowers.

The platform

The platform very
easy to understand and simple to use.

If you are newer within P2P lending then this is a good choice in my opinion.

When you sign up you just need to provide basic information about yourself (email and password).

To use the platform you must be 18 years old and they only accept money transfers from bank accounts from Europe (also Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland). Companies can also register.

You need to provide valid documents (passport or identification card) for complete registration.

The investment

The platform only has short-term consumer loans (on average 29 days).
Alfa Finance Group holds 10% skin in the game.

The interest rate offered is up to +12% and you must invest at least 10 EUR in a loan

All loans on the platform have a buyback guarantee which is really good. Therefore there is also no secondary market.

The loan originator will without any delays pay you back if the borrower can’t pay. You will get the whole principal and accrued interest amount.

No risk rating is available, but they provide great information about the borrower.

The availability of loans is good.  About 1000 loans were available when I looked around last time.

DoFinance offers 3 auto invest strategies on the platform to make it easy for you to invest. It will make it easier for you to choose the terms and risks that suits you.

DoFinance sends no information to any Tax Agency or deducts taxes. You must do it yourself in your country.
